19th JUNE:
Before waving goodbye to Thailand on the final day, we had a laid back trip down Thailand's canal in the morning. The tour guide was really amusing. Hahah. We got an in-depth look of how the unfortunate in Thailand are living and the state of houses they reside in. It may seem pitiful but they are really friendly and happy people leading lives the way everyone else should. Like the guide said, even without financial support, they are happy compared to wealthy merchants and well-off families. They may be rich and are sunk in the modern world but they may not be entirely happy. The house may lack a loving family and their main priority is money and earning more money. They do not have time to breath in life casually, having the rhythm of life thrown in their faces. Halfway through the ride, we stopped at the Snake Farm deep in the area.
After the ride, we went back to Bangkok to do some last minute shopping. After much deliberation, we boarded the van for the very last time with our luggages and proceeded to the airport. I didn't eat much in the plane as I wasn't hungry yet. Two hours later, holla' Singapore!! We grabbed a bite at Macdonalds in Terminal 1 and cabbed home. Hell yeah we were totally flunked!
